An Award-Winning powerful blend of antioxidants and moisturising agents assist to soothe and help rebuild the cellular structure of the hair. Provitamin B5 helps to prevent hair damage caused by overheating, whilst helping hair appear thicker. Organic Gotu Kola Extract helps to stimulate the circulatory system allowing more oxygen and nutrients to be delivered to the scalp. Organic Pomegranate Extract, rich in essential fatty acids, helps to hydrate dull strands, leaving the hair with a natural gloss. The 250ml bottle can be purchased with and without a pump. The 500ml bottle comes with a pump as standard. A reusable pump can be purchased separately for 1L bottle. Gotu Kola Extract (Organic) is well known in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine as a treatment for hair loss. This herb helps to strengthen hair follicles, whilst nourishing the scalp. Pomegranate Extract (Organic) possesses enormous antioxidant activity and is rich in essential fatty acids, which helps to strengthen dull strands, leaving your hair with a healthy natural gloss.

Provitamin B5 is enriched with highly moisturising and softening properties, penetrating readily into the skin and hair. Provitamin B5 helps to provide moisture and shine to the hair, and reduces split ends. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory by stimulating the skin's healing processes.

How to Apply

1. Apply to wet hair and massage into the scalp and through to the ends.

2. Enjoy a rich lather that will cleanse and refresh your hair.

3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

4. For thick or oily hair, repeat steps 1 & 2 to ensure a thorough cleanse.

5. For the best results, follow with Intensive Repair Conditioner.

As with all personal care products, if irritation occurs, please discontinue use.

Haircare Tip – A double shampoo is recommended especially if you have thick or oily hair. The initial shampoo helps to break down and remove surface dirt, oil and product buildup from the hair and scalp. The second shampoo has a better lather and cleanses more deeply, ensuring that any remaining impurities are thoroughly removed.

Our Intensive Repair Shampoo has not been formulated specifically to treat psoriasis/dermatitis, but it does contain natural, gentle ingredients so it will not irritate the scalp. One of the ingredients our Shampoo contains is Pro Vitamin B5 which acts as an anti-inflammatory by stimulating the skin's healing processes, which is extremely beneficial for scalp issues. It also contains Organic Gotu Kola Extract, which promotes blood circulation, to allow vital nutrients into the scalp.

Yes, it is! Curly Girl Method shampoos must not contain silicone, sulphates, mineral oils or harsh alcohols, which our products certainly do not! We’ve had excellent feedback from customers with both frizzy and curly hair.

Yes, our Intensive Repair Shampoo lathers really well, and is able to effectively work its way through event the thickest hair, getting right through to the scalp as well. When you do have thick or oily hair, a double shampoo is highly recommended.

It is perfectly safe to use on colour treated hair and is ideal for repairing dry and damaged hair, caused by bleaching. It contains moisturising and nourishing ingredients including Provitamin B5 which is enriched with highly moisturising and softening properties.

Strong Synthetic Fragrance

The fragrance in the Intensive Shampoo & Conditioner is synthetic, therefore toxic. I personally find it overly strong as well, especially in the conditioner. These products are otherwise of good quality and I would definitely buy a fragrance free version or one with only subtle natural fragrance, as healthy choices are super important to me.

Hi Gail, sorry to hear you haven't enjoyed the scent in our Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. Scent is a very personl thing, some people finding a particualr scent too strong, others not strong enough and for some it is just right.

Across our range of products we use different scents for different products, some contain natural fragrances, some pure essential oils, some are fragrance free and some have a fragrance oil. Our shampoo & conditioner contain a small amount (around 0.5%) of fragrance oil. Our fragrance oils are all Phthalate-free and are a mixture composed of essential oils, synthetic aroma chemicals, and aromatic resins (one of the main concerns of toxins in fragrance is usually around Phthalates). We have found that people with sensitivites often tolerate a small amount of fragrance oil very well, and it can often cause less sensitivity than a pure essential oil.
